I started drinking coffee after college. My wife introduced me to the wonderful drink when we would sit on the couch on lazy Saturday mornings reading the paper. It was great. Later, I developed a love for the taste of espresso. To me it is almost like a good scotch or brandy. Something to be savored and enjoyed slowly.
I would usually get an espresso on the way to work each morning. It was my little treat to myself for going in early before everyone else. When I started working from home, I really missed that treat and the taste of espresso. I did some research and decided to buy an espresso pod brewer. Here is why I love these espresso coffee pods:
- I can make myself a cup of espresso anytime I like. There is no need to get in the car, wait in line, and pay the $4 for a cup. I just put an espresso pod in the brewer, pour in the water, and in about 45 seconds I get the treat whenever I want.
- When we are having dinner parties, it is fun for me to be able to offer espresso to any of my guests. This is something I would never have been able to do when I was buying it from Starbucks.
- The pods make the clean up a breeze. You simply pull it out of the brewer and toss it in the trash. There are no coffee grounds to clean up, no mess. When I was originally considering a traditional espresso machine, I realized how much work went into cleaning the machine for just that small cup of coffee pleasure.
- Espresso pods can be used to make more than just espresso. On cold winter nights we will often combine the espresso with milk and other ingredients to make mochas or lattes. How many people can do that at home!
Buying an espresso pod brewer was a great investment. I love being able to make a little treat for myself whenever I want.
