What’s Up With Energy Drinks

Honestly, I must admit to being a pretty big skeptic when it comes to energy drinks.  Actually, anything that promises to make me live longer, look better, lose weight fast, or make me stronger sets of warning bells in the back of my mind.  Especially when it’s a processed type food that comes in a can, box or bottle with a list of ingredients longer than the fine print on one of Microsofts EULA software agreements. So when it comes to the best selling energy drink, you know I’m going to have my doubts.  Personally, if you want to have more energy, then there are three things you need to do.

First and foremost, try eating as healthy as possible.  We all know what that means, so I don’t think I need to list all that right foods here.  This blog is actually full of interesting topics on healthy food.  Just search around a bit.  Secondly, get yourself plenty of sleep.  For a grown adult, that means at least seven hours per night.  If your a teenager, don’t even bother rolling out of bed before noon.  Even a drink like the Jager Bomb Red Bull drink can’t make up for a good nights sleep.  And lastly, your going to need to do some sort of physical activity on a daily basis.  Generally a combination of different workouts is best.  The variety will help avoid the boredom of working out, plus will minimize the stress on specific muscles and joints that accompanies repeating the same exercise over and over.
